A Fists & Fiends Super-Fight MISSION!
Good morning Fists & Fiends!
Today marks the release of another Super-Natural Fiend to join the ranks of perilous predators roaming the shadows of the night in and around the Silt Road and City of Smoke. This devious devil comes with a story mission titled ‘The Water Boar’s Den’. The story hook makes it easier for Gamemasters to introduce this fright-fight to your players, and find out if their martial prowess protect them???
This fiend was incredibly fun to build, and even more fun to play-test at two conventions with sheer terror and delight around the table. The tension and laughter was priceless. You will find this fiend has a unique component that will shock and rock your players to the core. Let the chaos ensue!

Supernatural Fiends found inside The Silt Road campaign and released in this story mission are designed and intended for GM’s running the game. They include hidden components that are thrilling, frightening, and perplexing for players to try and contend with, and survive. To experience maximum enjoyment as a player, I highly recommend that you allow your GM to present this to you in the game without peaking behind the veil. Rather than doing what I did as a teenager, and read every single monster’s stats, weaknesses, and abilities in the AD&D Monster Manuals. My thirst for knowledge definitely sabotaged the shock factor and fun of encountering those monsters. And, as Nietzsche aptly wrote, “He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.” — Randy
A risky venture, your mission is to seek out and locate medical supplies for the 108 survivors. Prior to the floods a doctor practiced in a small room behind the old tea house known as ‘The Water Boar's Den’. You are to sneak into the flooded district of the city and attempt to recover any herbs and medicinal supplies that may be left intact.
WARNING: This mission for Fists & Fiends is a Super-Fight, and not for the faint of heart. In The Water Boar’s Den story mission, players will encounter a supernatural fiend inspired by Chinese myths and legends, and attempt to use their martial arts prowess to try and survive. It is not a question of, ‘if’ they will die, but how much fun all of you have as the chaos and their inevitable demise unfolds. You’ve been warned!
Since the floods, the curtain separating the natural and supernatural world has been torn asunder. The Yao Guai, strange and horrific creatures that belie logic, who prior to the the Yellow Dragon’s wrath only existed in superstition, have returned to the natural world. Striking fear in the hearts and minds of the fiercest warriors, encounters with these ghosts, demons, and monsters leave their lasting mark on the souls of any mortal who survives their malevolent predations.
